ABOUT ME

I am a Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Trainer with 32 years experience. I retired in 2022 from private practice in South Lakeland. I am contiuing to run some weekend workshops each year in Family or Generational Constellations - an important aspect of my work since 2001. I love, and continue to be excited by this work in particular.

I did my initial training at the Chiron Centre for Body Psychotherapy in Ealing, West London where I was particularly drawn to the Gestalt element of the course. After undertaking more training with the Los Angeles Gestalt Institute in their European intensive programmes I joined the staff at the Chiron Centre as a group leader and trainer in Gestalt Body Psychotherapy, a position  I occupied from 1991 to 2003.

In 1996 I came across Bert Hellinger's Family Constellations work and began to take every opportunity to experience and learn about this approach, studying with Bert Hellinger and other leading trainers including Hunter Beaumont and Albrecht Marr. After that I trained with with Franz Ruppert looking particularly at healing the generational effects of trauma through Constellations. The work has been profoundly liberating for me personally and often very helpful for the clients I have worked with. I have been facilitating workshops in Family Constellations since 2001 in the North west of England and, for a while, in The Republic of Ireland. 

 My earlier background was inTheatre, Education, and Business. I studied Drama at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and went on to train as a teacher at Trent Park College in North London. After teaching Drama and English for a number of years and running a Vegetarian Restaurant for some years after that, I started training in this work in 1987. I was a participant in, and organiser of, an on-going personal and professional development group facilitated by Hunter Beaumont for 14 years; this group was a continual source of instruction, growth and inspiration and contributed enormously to the person and therapist I am today.

As well as my work I also love singing, Argentine Tango, acting and writing. I am an environmental activist and a grandmother. My life and work are increasingly concerned with our relationship with each other, with the earth and the fate of human and other species.
